WELCOME TO WESTY’S

People often ask us, and maybe you’ve wondered too—why on earth are you opening a bar? Well, after thinking about it, we realized there are three reasons.

First, we have the perfect last name.

Second, my family—especially my mom—loves bars.

But most importantly, we opened Westy’s because we see it as our way of giving back.

Mark and I both served full careers in the military, and the concept of service runs deep in us. It might sound like a stretch to call owning a bar “giving back,” but we truly believe that’s what this is.

We built Westy’s for the community. And by “community,” I don’t just mean Highland Falls and Fort Montgomery, where we live. I mean the West Point community, the Old Grad and cadet parent community, and of course, the current and future cadets—two of whom are in our own family.

We wanted to create a place where these communities could come together, share stories, and simply enjoy being with one another. We were in a position to make it happen, and we felt it was our duty to do so.

Westy’s isn’t just our bar—it’s your bar. We hope you’ll feel at home here, make memories here, and be part of what we’ve built.  So when you come to Westy’s we hope you raise a glass—to community, to friendship, and to many good nights ahead at Westy’s!
